As a financial planner and investment manager, my goal is to help my clients make sense of complicated financial lives so that they can have the lives they want to live.
There were several stops along the way in my path to becoming a financial planner, including as a management consultant in the health care and technology industries, and a quality improvement manager in health care. But the passion that remained constant for me through my career journey was learning about personal finance and investing. I have always enjoyed the challenge of working through complex concepts and solving multi-layered puzzles, and that challenge is at the heart of financial planning. Family and friends began turning to me for advice, and eventually I realized it was time I made one more career change - to become a financial planner.
I went back to school at Boston University to study financial planning. After I’d met the rigorous educational, ethical and work requirements to become a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) practitioner, I worked as a financial planner at a firm in Wellesley, MA. A few years later, I left to open my own practice in late 2002, and established Moore Financial Advisors, Ltd.
I enjoy earning the enthusiastic trust of my clients by tackling their financial challenges and helping them develop the peace of mind of knowing that they are on track to achieve the things that they want in life. Education has also been central to my approach: with 15 years of experience teaching courses in finance and economics in Boston-area colleges and universities, I like supporting my clients in gaining a sense of comfort and control in their lives by helping them get a firmer grasp on the financial concepts that affect their lives.
Education: I have a M.S. in Financial and Operations Management and a B.A in Psychology and Sociology. Additionally, I have a Diploma in Financial Planning from Boston University, and have done graduate work in anthropology and psychology.
