About Us
As an adviser, my main goal is to help individuals improve their overall sense of well-being. To achieve this, I work with my clients to strengthen their personal finances, invest wisely and plan thoughtfully for the future.
As a professional, my career has moved steadily down the road of financial services, but I’ve navigated in two distinct directions. The earlier route was working on behalf of large institutions as an employee. I was fortunate to have great mentors and challenging assignments. I traveled the world on due-diligence trips, developed investment strategies (and earned a position on Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team), directed research teams and managed portfolios on behalf of corporate pension plans. The missing part was being able to see how my contributions actually benefited the clients of these large firms.
This led me to working with individuals directly. I opened my own advisory practice in 2015, and joined forces with Susan in mid 2019. In addition to doing the detailed investing and financial planning work I love to do, I’m now able to see how my efforts actually make a difference in the lives of my clients.
Beyond my business, I believe strongly in the value of helping individuals of all ages improve their financial literacy. As an active CFA Society Boston member and volunteer, I’ve participated in Credit For Life Fairs for high school seniors, presented to adults at local libraries on topics that develop personal finance skills, and am currently leading a new initiative with South Shore Habitat for Humanity aimed at helping their family partners become more confident home owners.
Education: I have a B.A. in History from College of the Holy Cross and have earned the right to use the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. I have also met the rigorous educational, ethical and work requirements to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner.
